Tools: iPhone Panorama Mode Camera
Process
First, I experimented on what can and cannot be done by the panorama mode on the iPhone, testing its nature and capabilities.
After understanding the panorama mechanism and trying different aspects boldly, I realized that it could be used in a new way I haven't discovered before - generating a watercolor-like effect (especially when the speed is fast enough and … in the car) ! then I decided to create my self-portrait using this new discovery.
Having no car on that day, I improvised in another way – using a held mirror to track the panorama, moving fast on the street to capture my reflection in water like-effects. However, I failed this time because there was not enough speed and the range I could reach out with my hand was too short.
All these fun but ‘failed’ experiments supported me to come up with my final version which I haven't imagined before - panorama mode on iPhone can actually take watercolor conventional selfies if I hold it stable enough! This technique creates an effect "in-camera" that we would usually think is Photoshopped.
